I love texture on clay! One of my favorites is the wooden look. There’s definitely wood texture rollers you can buy but this is an economical way of making them too ♥️ in fact, I have a roller but I like this look better sometimes because I can control where my blade goes and how deep it indents.

Nothing like a solo date night! ♥️💗🥰

Well hubby did take me to dinner before this…but then I went to my craft area on a solo date. to be fair I would’ve taken myself to dinner if mi amor wasn’t around 💅

Anyhooo my form of self care and date night has been polymer clay and I’ve just loved every second of it. I’ve slowed down this reel to real time to show some steps I do in my process like color mixing!

Started with marble, sage green and then I wanted a lighter shade of it so I added white. Turned out like such a beautiful green granite looking slab.

I used to really hate the messy parts of the art process…like I used to get so much frustration and anxiety when I couldn’t get it just absolutely perfect. I have now learned there’s so much beauty in them…I adjust and add as I need I use different brushes and colors that speak to me.
